On Tuesday I turned on my inner top model and jumped in front of the camera to shoot my first fashion collection. I applied for a casting call I had seen online, and after my portfolio was reviewed, I was chosen for the gig. The shoot was for Boutique Mademoiselle Vintage, an online vintage boutique. We were modelling the items the boutique owner, Tara Filteau, had chosen as part of her Spring/Summer collection. It was a small production, with two models, the boutique owner, and the photographer.
I had met Tara last week when I went to a fitting to try on the clothes. She was incredibly friendly and immediately put me at ease. She had pulled a few outfits for me to try based on my measurements. Clearly she knew her stuff, as everything fit me, save one pair of jeans. The clothes were really cool and I was excited for the shoot.
I was the 70’s girl, with my long blonde hair. The other model was a brunette and wore some looks inspired by the 60’s. Her looks were more classic, while I’d say that mine were more fun. (I guess it’s true what they say about blondes!) I hadn’t seen any of the other girl’s outfits, so it was so neat to see what she was going to put on next. We kept joking that we were going to end up buying half of the collection.
The photos are going to be used to relaunch the boutique’s website. You’ll soon be able to see everything at www.BoutiqueMademoiselleVintage.com. It will take a couple of weeks to get the photos back from the photographer, then another week or so to get everything uploaded to the website. I can’t wait to see the shots!
Everything went smoothly, and we ended up wrapping early, so Tara treated us out for lunch. Everyone was super nice, and it was a great day!
